In 2007, our Senior Pastor, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit released a vision for the Body of Christ to “get ready for action!” The One Thing Campaign was therefore launched. Stage one of the campaign was aimed at becoming a debt-free ministry. The next stage was to repair and beautify the existing structure, followed by the final stage of construction, the building of a 24-hour prayer center.
Stage one of the vision was to become a debt free ministry and by the grace of God we became debt free on July 1st 2007. The next step in this campaign was to remodel the front of the church building, also debt free. As we set out to do this the Lord began to release finances and in the summer of 2009 we began and finished the remodel of the church facility. So here we are today with 2 out of the 3 stages of the One Thing Campaign completed and the construction and establishment of the Potter's House of Prayer (24/7 Prayer Room) will be the capstone to this campaign.
The Purpose of the Prayer Room is Multi-faceted:
- - The prayer room will be a Place of Communion
- - The prayer room will be a Place of Praise
- - The prayer room will be a Place of Peace
- - The prayer room will be a Place of Prayer
- - The prayer room will be a Place to Tarry
- - The prayer room will be a Place of Power
All across the nations of our world, God is raising up an army of prayer warriors. He is releasing a wave of prayer movements all across the world and this region must not be left out.
The vision and heart of this is to create an atmosphere for God's manifest presence where people from all over the region can come and experience God and encounter Him in a real and transforming way. We are excited about what God is doing, and going to do in our region!
The greatest need within the body of Christ today is for a radical, dedicated, passionate group of believers to rise up in the power of consistent, persistent prayer and push back the kingdom of darkness. We cannot reduce life to temporal pursuits that are disconnected from eternal realities. Prayer is the one thing that has both temporal and eternal implications. All throughout history, we have witnessed the solemn call to prayer and intercession from God whenever society becomes spiritually and morally bankrupt. The call is now and the urgency is alarming!
We have to rise up and build this culture of prayer in our region to see His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
